Digging through the laundry counting up every cent. But I guess I didn't realize how much it really meant. We where getting by but I was never content. Trying to walk the straightened arrow but all the rules where bent. Going to the bar late night just to vent. Getting even with the times and keep it current. Had some homies that helped me out won't let me pay them back still. There where days I felt took all my will. 9 to 5 wast enough for me to eat my fill. That kinda struggle is the thing that can kill. Scraping by Wasn't even dreaming about making a mill. Just worried about when I'd get to eat my next meal. And that shit is real. I know how it feel. To be down and out like life taking money out your till. Just under stand that it will. Take you out if you give it the chance. Just keep it moving keep your balance. And one day you'll get a glance.
