I got a statement to make in the direction of depression So depression if you can mind stop what you doing in my mind for a second I got something to mention See I’m getting very tired of your suggestions Stepping off a bridge to my death or something or going into an intersection Or your 3am calls pressing on my chest since my adolescence stress in my lungs and your hands choking the path that I am breathing through See if you think depression means someone is weak you better think again Listen friend living with depression is when you keep waking up, wishing that you didn’t Then using all of you strength with then to lift that 2000 pound bed sheet off you When in reality, it’s paper thin Another day begins by looking in the mirror unclear of when or if those thoughts you hear Will you end it all will it ever end But there no time for that you running late again So rinse your face off then Put your car in gear and then we are off into the real world Where it’s time to pretend you got time to put that plastic smile on again And pray to god for the straight to pour into you friends so hopefully they don’t see you falling apart within Because how can someone that needs help possibly be helping them That’s the deception it works so well that I’m living in
