Jesus Saved me from Myself Holy spirit take me to another place Where I won’t go insane Where I won’t play the games Where I won’t be bound by chains That engraved my name Started broke but god saved me sane Praise his name no other way Without Jesus wouldn’t be here today Walking sidewalks looking for jobs Doing applications wouldn’t stop Dad did drugs but god had me stop My generation wouldn’t be on the block Yeah people did me wrong god had me forgive So I started writing songs god let me live God gave me the gift So I can change the script Didn’t need to drink Diddnt need a hit If you with me You know Jesus is lit Suicidal thoughts in my head At 18 I had no bed God my speaker had to represent Got on my knees had to repent Do it daily cause I’m still bent I be fighting demons to this day Spiritual warfare everyday Temptation strong have to pull away Social media is a nagging blade Wound is deep idol array God made the world in 7 days From age to age to page to page The whole world should fear god rage He don’t play don’t say his name in vein Let’s get you right believe in his name Let’s be honest I can’t keep all the Ten Commandments But I can’t live my life in fragments Going off in a tangent But Jesus will make it happen cuz he is my captain No longer bound by affection Or social media captions Ima use my music for influence Not for drugs or potions or cuz he do it Not for issac newton or Vladimir Putin Ima do if for Christ this is my life I hit the road you ride or die Darkness or light choose you side Cause with Jesus I know I’m right I started young memorizing bible verses Puberty hit mind got perverted That’s when sin keeps up I reverted To my old ways lived in shame I felt the pain of pent up pain I was scared I lost my way Then 2018 came and I had finally changed For 2 years I thought I was doing right Waking up living my life Going to bed every night My way I thought was right Then it hit me like a light Without Jesus I can’t win the fight I started praying I started changing Now I’m not playing Time to rein his name in King of kings Lord of Lords Felt like a apple with no core Unconditional love nothing more Can ever satisfy your spiritual door I was lost but Jesus made me humble Now I tumble at the thought of a sinful rumble These storms get strong and rain some days But Jesus is my rock he will never walk away
