Cold winters night Barely even took flight Thinking How could I do things better Thinking that I’m clever But over thinking got the best of me So I’m reaching for my therapy I light up the blunt then suddenly I can see straight With god I had faith Seeking peace in this world And for my loved ones to meet me by heavens gates What can I say this is my fate And I dream I chase Besides all the mistakes I’ll still stay Determined Ambitious Even if I lose my way I can’t explain Being raised in the system But i guess I can’t complain Made me smart In the decisions I make here today It’s time to elevate it’s always sunny until it rains Smile through the bullshit and all my darkest pains I’ve never been the same If I don’t trust you Then I can’t conversant So I’ll keep pushing till I make a way No handouts No opportunity I’ll brush aside the hate My talents home made 1041 forever You know what I’m saying 💯
