It’s late and raining heavily The rate is gaining severally The great storm is forming The horns are spraying warning Hail is banging the window pale The howl of a train is gaining fast wailing All the clouds have came down from above Twirling and skipping and ripping a shove Thunder rumbling over shutters thuttering Siding and roofing flying off with guttering Broken glass and shattered plaster crashing And bashing through the barn and pasture Clashing and mashing everything that is passes Trashing and thrashing through in patches The f5 is pounding and thriving Grounding down the gravel driveway Coming for everything that’s alive They dived under the cellar steps to survive.
