Oh god, here we go again Skeletal system, we the best So come on man, feel the best CHORUS: Skeletal system is the backbone of da body (literally) Skeletal system allows you to move Skeletal system has many different functions SO lets get into this! (Move to next verse) Verses: Skeletal system is the backbone of the body It allows you to move and store minerals and fat It produces blood cells and provides protections And thats not all but that what we’ve got (BACK TO CHORUS) We’ve got different parts like the bone marrow, Don;’t forg3et the cartilage, ligaments and joints Cartilage is cushioning for when you move Ligaments connect bone to bone SAY IT WITH ME (BACK TO CHORUS) Now bone marrow has two different types And they both are important so lets get into it Red bone marrow produces red blood cells, white blood cells and don’’t forget platelets Yellow bone marrow stores minerals and fats Like calcium, phosphorus and fatty acids So whats next one might say Well take a tour of the bones (BACK TO CHORUS) Bones are made of of different things What are they made out of imma tell you Periosteum is a soft substance that protects the bone Compact bone is the outer suface We’ve got the spongy bone on the inside And inside of IT are red plus yellow marrow and blood vessels (Back to the chorus) Joints Joints there are many different types Ball and socket with the most movement You can find it at the hips and sholdiers It is vulnerable to breaks Has a lot of liga liga bone ments (Back to chorus) Different types of joints also include Hinge joints for your elbows and knees, like a door Pivot joints at your arms and head - to move them around - just like that Immovable joint at your skull - to keep it together And a gliding joints for your wrist and spine - so it can move and stay together (Back to chorus) That’s all for today Please only show this to 6th grade classes if you must Please do not show this to 8th period Only if I’m gone somewhere you may THANKS
